Milton Keynes Council and United Sustainable Energy Agency have launched a boiler cashback scheme for residents in Milton Keynes.
The scheme has been set up to encourage Milton Keynes residents to replace their old, inefficient boiler with a new, A-rated boiler through a financial offering.The aims of the scheme are to:
The boiler cashback scheme will be financed by the Carbon Offset Fund – a Milton Keynes Council initiative funded by developers in the area and managed by USEA.
A £150 cashback payment will be available to homeowners who replace an old, inefficient gas, oil or LPG boiler for a for a new, energy efficient boiler. The old boiler is eligible whether in working condition or not. Only installations done by a professional registered with Gas Safe Register will be eligible.
This grant is available together with any other grants such as Warm Front and discounts made by energy companies or local installers.
To register your intent to install a new boiler, please ring 01908 699990 and leave your name, address and phone number. An application form will then be posted to you.
Please note that the grant will not be paid for installations which have taken place before the application date. The installer will be required to confirm the make and model of the old and new boiler on the application form.
