Buckinghamshire Affordable Warmth network was established in 2005 through a partnership of the four district councils, Buckinghamshire County Council and United Sustainable Energy Agency.
The aim of the partnership is to ensure that the affordable warmth message is consistent and is reaching those residents most in need.
The network has a steering group comprising of key officers from the councils, Primary Care Trusts and United Sustainable Energy Agency. They are supported by other organisations such as the Fire Service, Housing Associations, Age Concern, and the Citizens Advice Bureau.
The model has proved itself to be successful and Affordable Warmth Networks have now been established in Oxfordshire and Milton Keynes.
